Film TV Games. Fortnite Game of Thrones Books. So kindly keep updating and bringing new features to your Office app rather than wasting your time on Word, PowerPoint, Excel and office lens. This will not only save your time and money but it will also provide users like myself to manage, organise and create projects easily. But there is one issue that has remained despite multiple updates. Using the two finger scroll function for the cursor shows two cursors one blue and gray.
Such inconsistency causes confusion and slows down the user. For instance, i need to use auto numbering in series 3. Unfortunately, i am unable to customise numbering in such series on word for iPad despite being able to do so on macintosh.
Lately, noticing that everytime i type, font automatically switches to mangal size 10 even if i change it to a different font time and again. Hoping these issues are fixed at the earliest. I am using Microsoft Powerpoint and word on my Apple iPad and i found a bug or you can say some problem in the application.
While editing a text in my presentation or documents whenever i try to select the text by tapping with two fingers on the software keyboard of iPad, it just do not work properly. Many a times it selects the text whenever i tap with two fingers but the cursor goes to some other word and selects it.
And then if i want to extend my selection it also does not work properly. I am very used to, to this feature of iOS of making your keyboard a trackpad by using two fingers but this feature does not function properly in this Microsoft powerpoint and word application. I request the developer to please fix this feature in the new update because really frustates the people like me.
The following data may be collected and linked to your identity:. Privacy practices may vary based on, for example, the features you use or your age. Learn More. Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled. No new start screen or ribbon either. Friendly reminder. There is only a small update available.
Not the next version with the new features. Oh wow, those updates looks gorgeous!! Just got the update for the excel for iPad, to be able to have multiple window opened, great!! What version number is it? Still nothing for me. Using It's more than two weeks since this announcement. Unfortunately, I've only seen trackpad support in Powerpoint and Excel. Nothing in Word, much less OneNote. Development of iPadOS-compatible apps has truly languished.
I have version 2. I do not know if this is enabled on a user by user basis or cam with version 2. I specifically tried "highlighting a passage of text in Word, selecting a range of cells in Excel, and moving and resizing graphics in PowerPoint" as mentioned in the blog post.
I have versions 2. Can anyone say exactly with which version the new trackpad support takes effect? Here is a link to videos showing trackpad support on my iPad Pro with 2. Trackpad support videos. Jeromec71 thx. But the App shows not the new UI, as shown in the original article.
It's a shame that Microsoft publishes utterly false information, relayed without any verification by tech publications such as Engadget, and does not even corrects it. When in PowerPoint when you hover over text you get a straight cursor and in word you still have a round cursor. Are you able to put the cursor right where you want to in word? I am on v4. I have had problem with cursor when I am in split screen mode. I have the new start screens and trackpad support, but am looking forward to the redesigned ribbon.
Unfortunately no update here for Word yet. Is that possible after more than four weeks since the announcement. Its the end of November! Has anybody got the new Microsoft rollout for ipad yet? I have the iPad Pro and magic keyboard and am being so hamstrung with not being able to edit docs saved on One Drive.
With this in place, iPad will take over an increasingly large share of my work. Bill, I reached out to you via LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. Especially when many businesses are making purchasing decision regarding iPads and need to know if Office is actually going to work on them. I'm going to have too pass this story along to my friends in the tech press, including columnists at the WFJ, NYT, etc.
It's worth a story at some point during this pandemic when more workers at home than ever are relying on their hardboard and software like Office. It's not so much the botched rollout, Bill, but the chest-beating about this phantom "rollout" and then deafening silence when customers' legitimate questions in this forum and social media and elsewhere are ignored.
Do you not check in? Does Microsoft PR or legal muzzle you? Microsoft customers deserve better -- and, trust me, soon enough they will get better, even if it's not from Microsoft. I received the trackpad support last sunday but no new start screen and no new ribbons yet. Are those seperate updates? It is very confusing how Microsoft handels this announced update, especially with no further comments or information on custommer comments and questions.
